Why we love Basecamp as a project management tool
At Twentyfour, we have been integrating Basecamp for our daily work. We basically love how basecamp gives us a much better overview of the entire organization’s projects. We have become much more productive and better organized. We communicate much better throughout the whole organization and with our clients. Also, with Basecamp fewer meetings are necessary as everything is uploaded, written, and discussed on Basecamp.
Only tool you need to run your entire business
Basecamp breaks up your organization’s work into separate projects, which you will have to create yourself. Each project contains everything related to the work at hand. For example, all the people involved, every discussion, every document, file, task, important date, etc. Everything will be separated towards the specific projects!
And inside every project – all the tools your team will need to get work done.
Message Boards
Keep the entire conversation together on a single page, which will give everyone on the project a more organized structure. It is time to forget the digging through email or trying to reassemble a story from fragmented replies, which just takes lots of your time.
To-do Lists
Create to-do lists for all the work that you or your team need to do, assign tasks to specific people, and set due dates. Also, Basecamp will follow up on overdue tasks for you.
Schedule
Every project in Basecamp includes a schedule. A schedule that will display any dated to-dos and events for that project. Everyone on the project can see it, so everyone will know what is coming up.
Docs and Files
Every project includes a space to share documents, files, images… you name it. Since everyone in your team, as well as the client, has access to the project, everyone will know exactly where to find everything.
Group chat
Basecamp’s real-time group chat (campfires) lets you ask quick questions and get quick answers. All without reaching for a separate app. And the best thing is that you can connect your working e-mail to your basecamp account, which will give you notifications every time you get a message and/or a comment on a project.
